Lessons Through The Peggy Bergmann Arts Endowment Fund

Outreach Through The Arts is honored to work with the Santa Monica Education Foundation to provide free lessons for qualifying students in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. Qualified students enrolled in the SMMUSD in 4th and 5th grade or enrolled in a SMMUSD music class in grades 6-12, will receive an invitation to receive eighteen FREE private lessons from our amazing instructors. All of our instructors have over 10 years of teaching experience, a degree in music, and a passion to provide the joy of music to youth.

These 18 lessons are funded by the Santa Monica Education Foundation’s Peggy Bergmann Arts Endowment Fund. The lessons give these qualifying students an opportunity to excel in SMMUSD’s nationally recognized music program. OTTA has secured additional funding which allows the number of lessons to be increased and also provides continuing education, mentorship, instrument rental, and repair.

OTTA provides personalized instruction and support to qualifying students who are ambitious, engaged, and who love music. They give these qualifying students an opportunity to excel in SMMUSD’s nationally recognized music program. Students from 4th through 12th grade are participating in our program, where they receive weekly private lessons throughout the school year, including through the summer months. Students also have performance opportunities throughout the year.
